Since the organizers had to announce GOD DETHRONED cancelling their appearance already last year, they didn’t want to leave it at that and so they employed them another time for this year’s issue. Get prepared for some metal thrashing made in Holland. For the Black Metal aficionados amongst you, they also have something new in stock with ANGMAR, who are no dark horse in the Black Metal underground anymore, and who will celebrate their German debut on the festival. Last but not least, SEASONS IN BLACK will return following a creative break and present their new album in 2010.

ULTRAVOX is a British New Wave band who rose to big fame end of the 70s / beginning of the 80s. They were amongst the pioneers of the British Electro Pop movement of the early 80s. The band split up eventually following Midge Ure’s departure in 1985. In 2008, Warren Cann, Chris Cross, Billy Currie and Midge Ure reformed ULTRAVOX to tour under the title “Return to Eden” in 2009 / 2010. It’s the first time that the band plays in its original line-up since the legendary Live Aid in 1985. The timing is almost perfect as their super hit ‘Vienna’ celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2009. So, ULTRAVOX are back and one thing’s very important to them “We are playing everything live!” Neither a CD-Player nor a tape will be on stage. If the keys won’t be hit, there won’t be a sound whatsoever. The band is full of energy and pure joy about the music.

Early next year a new epic of Tobias Sammet's Avantasia project will be released in two chapters: "The Wicked Symphony" and "Angel Of Babylon". Tobias is in the studio right now, working with producer Sascha Paeth on this new Rock Opera. Starring musicians like Klaus Meine (Scorpions), Ripper Owens (ex-Judas Priest), Michael Kiske (ex-Helloween), Jorn Lande (Masterplan), Bob Catley (Magnum), Russell Allen (Symphony X), Eric Singer (KISS), Felix Bohnke (Edguy), Alex Holzwarth (Rhapsody) and new contribution comes from ' the master on keyboards' Jens Johansson (Stratovarius).
