Death metal heads of ABORTED have posted the title song of their upcoming EP ‘Coronary Reconstruction’ to their re-designed Myspace profile. An exclusive pre-order package can be found there as well so check back at http://www.myspace.com/abortedmetal. Recently, ABORTED have presented their new line-up. Singer Sven De Caluwe (Also System Divide) remains the sick head of the band who, with immediate effect, will be supported by drummer Dirk Verbeuren (Soilwork), guitarist Eran Segal (ex-They Swarm/Whorecore), Ken Sorceron (Abigail Williams) as well as bassist Cole Martinez (System Divide). ‘Coronary Reconstruction’ contains 4 new songs, impressively showing the potential of the new line-up. The whole thing’s topped of by a cover version of the ENTOMBED classic ‘Left Hand Path’.- Details

Triptykon, the group formed by former Hellhammer/Celtic Frost singer, guitarist, and main songwriter Tom Gabriel Warrior, is proud to announce that the groups' own label, Prowling Death Records Ltd., has entered into a licensing agreement with renowned metal giant Century Media Records. Under the agreement, Century Media Records will release Triptykon's massive debut album, Eparistera Daimones, in Europe and North America on March 22, 2010. Eparistera Daimones was produced by Tom Gabriel Warrior and Triptykon guitarist V. Santura and recorded in V. Santura's own Woodshed Studio in southern Germany, in the course of the second half of 2009. - Details

Norwegian Avant-Garde Metallers VULTURE INDUSTRIES have entered the studio to begin recording the follow up to their 2007 debut full-length album “The Dystopia Journals”. The new album is expected to contain 7 tracks, and come in at somewhere between 40 and 45 minutes in length. As is usual with VULTURE INDUSTRIES, they will be using the Conclave and Earshot Studios, which is owned by the band’s front man Bjornar E. Nilsen, who, aside from his vocal duties with VI and BLACK HOLE GENERATOR, is also a producer. - Details

FINNTROLL exclusively uploaded a making-of of their brand-new video to the song ‘Solsagan’ on Youtube. You can watch the video here. The making-of already gives a foretaste of the finished clip, premiering on Myspace on 15th January 2010. The video has been produced by Vasara Films, having produced for instance the recent DVDs of DARK TRANQUILITY and TURISAS. The new album ‘Nifelvind’ has been produced at “Sonic Pump Studios” in Helsinki and mastered by Mika Jussila at “Finnvox Studios”. Guitarist Skrymer also designed the artwork of the new album as he used to on past releases. The album hits stores on 19th February 2010.Source: Newsletter
