Mülheim’s Castle Rock festival, meanwhile advanced to cult status, enters its eleventh year in 2010 and also in the next year will come up with a top line-up leaving nothing to be desired for fans of darkly romantic rock music and brachial sounds. With EISBRECHER it’s once more getting ice cold at the castle when the group sets sails for Mülheim. They’ll bring their new album as well and show that they’re shooting stars of the past festival season for a good reason. Next act celebrating a reunion with Mülheim and Castle Rock is LETZTE INSTANZ, who with their balancing act between Pop, Goth Rock, Classical Music and Metal meeting deep German lyrics will once again make the air and the attendee’s feet boil.

An exciting year 2009 comes to a close and with the annual Christmas fest it is time for a well earned break, with these days of peace and leisure. Thus the entire Amphi Festival Team wishes you merry Christmas, a happy new year and all your dreams, wishes and aims for the new year to come true! Also it is our heartfelt wish to thank all people and helping hands who have supported us tremendously throughout this year. On the verge of their highly anticipated new longplayer CUBED, the 7-track single CHILD OF ENTERTAINMENT appears in stores on February 5th 2010. Apart from the album version, the title track is presented in four different interpretations, from forceful club version to a fragile piano composition. The release is complemented with both a remake of DIORAMA's classic from 2001 HLA and a live version of their clubhit ADVANCE. After this year’s release of the new album ‘The Great Stone War’, WINDS OF PLAGUE will be invading European stages in April/May 2010. They’re touring together with PARKWAY DRIVE, their label mates DESPISED ICON, as well as 50 LIONS. Singer Johnny Plague is already looking forward the return to the old world: “We’re extremely pleased to announce our return to Europe and the UK, and then with such a wicked package with our good friends of PARKWAY DRIVE and DESPISED ICON.
