We proudly present the first five bands confirmed for the NCN 5 in 2010:Die Art
The German independent legend Die Art has been rocking clubs and stages for more than 20 years with their own distinctive kind of punk rock, intoxicating their listeners in a way which sometimes lead to pogo and stage diving. Those who have a soft spot for authentic performance and beautiful sad lyrics want to beware: the cult band might rip their hearts out. Being known as fathers and pioneers of East-German indie pop and post punk, Die Art once again proves their reputation to be an outstanding and unmistakable cult band which never denied their roots and musical influences and still always sound like Die Art.

There’s good news from the camp of Swiss THE BEAUTY OF GEMINA. The band will be releasing a new single in January 2010, followed by the new album ‘At the End of the Sea’. A lot of news from the vocal acrobats VAN CANTO: they won a MFVF-Award for "Best Newcomer"! A big 'thank you' goes out to all fans and supporters. However, Van Canto does not have the time to rest on their laurels! Also the first two Van Canto albums „A Storm to Come“ and „Hero“ will be re-released on 12 th December 2009. Both new editions will include extensive bonus material. Most important: The band is currently providing the finishing touches to its upcoming new full-length.
