There are not many acts mastering the balancing act between innovation that is stylistically confident and commercial success. The Norwegian duo RÖYKSOPP is one of those acts. On their previous albums ‘Melody A.M’ and ‘The Understanding’, they’re presenting their wide stylistic range between Ambient, Downbeat, House, Classical music, Pop and Avant-garde. At the same time, the both multi-instrumentalists Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland managed to hit international charts. Their debut sold more than 750.000 copies in its first week.

DUPONT just released their single from the latest album Entering the ice age.The single track is New Dawn, and they've made a video to go with it. The single is a digital-only release and it contains the single track, a nice remix by Oscar Holter of Necro Facility fame and a catchy techpop version by Titans.

Gary Numan has said that he is to be heading into the studio to write and record some material with Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor. Gary: "I know he wants to carry on doing music things; I think he's going to be pretty busy for a while, so it'll either be later this year or early next. Probably just a few songs to start with and we'll see how it goes on. It'll be cool." The collaboration is not such an exceptionnal surprise as Numan has appeared onstage with Reznor on numerous occasions. Source: Side Line Magazine

The last Diary of Dreams album “(if)” was kicked off by the impressive video to “the Wedding”, a clip which received more than 90, 000 clicks alone at Myspace. Against all expectations, the band has now decided to release a CD single off that album that follows a more conventional format; the chosen track is “King of Nowhere”.
The band is well known for their habit to create something special and extraordinary from their musical travels, and thus it is no surprise to learn that Diary of Dreams have filmed another very lavish video clip which of course will also be included on this CD single. As usual, the images will polarize, inspire thoughts and discussions and will also show the depth and scrutiny the Diary of Dreams team commits to the artistic work.
