Claus Larsen aka Leaether Strip has reached the top position in the DAC charts in the 49th week of 2007 with the "The pleasure of reproduction" CD, which is the bonus disc to the "The Pleasure Of Penetration" CD and which together with "The pleasure of reproduction" forms the "Retention no1" 2CD set. In a same move he also detrones "Hourglass" by Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan from the first position.

"Pleasure Of Reproduction 2007" gathers some 10 selected tracks taken from disc one, "The Pleasure Of Penetration", totally re-written and re-recorded by Leaether Strip in the 2007 upgraded Strip Farm studio, benefiting from today's technologies and Claus Larsen's acquired expertise through the years. Initially released back in 1990, "The Pleasure Of Penetration" was Leaether Strip's debut album which quickly established the band as one of the most exciting emerging acts in Europe in the early 90's and one of the leading acts on the cult Zoth Ommog / Music Research label.

Tracks like "Japanese Bodies", "Razor Blades" or yet "Go fuck your ass off!" instantly imposed the "Leaether Strip" trademark" renown for its punishing rhythm pace and aggressive electronic style with distorted vocals.

It's for the first time ever in the DAC history that a band has succeeded in landing on the top position with material written some 17 years ago.
