John Butler - “UK & Euro Tour 2025”
JOHN BUTLER, one of Australia’s most productive independent artists, confirmed 5th September as the release date for his tenth studio album, ‘Prism’, which is now available for pre-order. At the same time, he announced his UK & Euro Tour, which will take him to Cologne, Hamburg, Berlin and Munich between 8 and 15 November.
Although ‘Prism’ has the sound of a full band, it was produced entirely solo by JOHN BUTLER and top producer JAMES IRELAND (POND, San Cisco) - the two shared the instrumentation and production duties. With this album, BUTLER officially bids farewell to the JOHN BUTLER TRIO and returns to the one-man band with which it all began - to the roots of his street music. ‘Prism’ celebrates the raw energy of this talent.
The ARIA Award winner has been thrilling audiences with his musical talent for over 20 years, and his new single ‘So Sorry’ - the second advance track from his new album – is now available. “Long relationships carry a lot of baggage. We say and do things we later regret. You come together as ‘children’ and, if you’re lucky, you learn how to grow up together. But no one comes out of it unscathed,” explains BUTLER. On ‘Prism’, he combines his very personal stories with an epic soundscape and returns to his classic groovy energy - full of wild guitars, powerful percussion and anthemic choruses.
There are catchy radio hits that instantly become festival sing-along anthems, wild mosh pit rock numbers and soulful ballads that are both thoughtful and moving. BUTLER’s ability to plumb the depths of humanity - especially his own heart - while constantly expanding his musical spectrum is unparalleled. He combines explosive percussion with hypnotic guitar sounds like no other. ‘Prism’ is at once thoughtful and explosive, joyful and free, funky, cinematic and uncompromising.
