The Danish rock band started their career back in the 1980s under the moniker DISNEY AFTER DARK. When Disney filed a lawsuit against them, they shortened it to D-A-D. The breakthrough of the Copenhagen band occurred upon releasing the third album ‘’No Fuel Left For The Pilgrims’ in 1989 on an international level, except the US. It has always been this band’s aim to stray from the gloomy, the pessimistic things that keep you from actually seeing the upsides life has to offer. They want to bring joy into the stadiums they fill with their music while adding always an ironic hint to their lyrics.
So they constructed their performances that way and acquired not a little audience around them. Ever since it all began this band has released 10 albums and last year celebrated 25 years of band history with the ‘Overmuch’ box. In December they’re bringing their signature sound to the Matrix club in Bochum.
