Kashmir, Tusq, Sea Wolf

KASHMIR, who owe their name to the eponymous LED ZEPPELIN song, are like a veil of silk descending upon you wide and soft, a veil whose fabric is steeped in melancholy melodies going to leak into your skin. At the same time there are edges; rockier edges, entwined rhythms and chord vibrations that shake the calm fundament time and again. The band whose roots extend way back to 1991 has grown to become very popular in their native with efforts such as ‘The Good Life’ from 1999’ or ‘Zitilites’ from 2003, being a platinum certified record.

Unfortunately, all those weren’t recognized as much as they would have deserved outside of Denmark, even though the album brought some considerable improvement regarding that. With their newest album ‘Trespassers’ they again take their dedicated listeners on a cerebral journey through seas and landscapes of thickly woven sounds and words, ringing in their heads long after they actually ceased. When they’re going to play at Zeche in Bochum, it is expected they’re perfectly able of recreating that feeling on stage.
