Review Flash

PALLBEARER emerged from Little Rock, Arkansas in 2012 with a stunning debut full-length, ‘Sorrow And Extinction’. In 2017, ‘Heartless’ was born. This is PALLBEARER’s third record and after about three minutes I can say it does not sound heartless at all, quite the opposite. Vocalist Brett Campbell’s spherical voice is full of pain, loneliness and everything we all fear to feel in our daily lives. The title track, ‘Heartless’, is over six minutes long but does not feel like it; PALLBEARER is rather calm and un-agitated sound wise but it arouses emotions galore. Sometimes I get a GHOST vibe but in a serious, unaffected way and without any gimmicks. The Little Rock foursome really gets under the skin. This is Doom at its best, music to chill and reflect to.

Conclusion: If you like bands like SPIRIT ADRIFT or 40 WATT SUN this is for you.
