What changed in the last year? Aside from a worldwide pandemic that showed us the true face of many people we deemed certifiably sane, I started to listen to and review Death Metal. ARAWN is one of those bands that arrived in my inbox. ARAWN is a Czech band that was formed in 2017, 2018 saw the first LP ‘Zrození’. ARAWN’s vocals are in completely in Czech language so I cannot say anything about their lyrical themes (Metal Archives don’t know anything about it too). Musically, these guys are extremely melodic and, aside from the growls, rather Thrash than Death Metal. With 40:51 Minutes playtime this record is not one of the short massacres most Death bands loved to celebrate in the 90s. This is heavy music for fans of Death and Thrash alike so hurry up and get yourself some of this red hot steel.
Conclusion: ARAWN kick ass and rip you a new one in record time, if that's your poison: get intoxicated with ‘Odkazy Doby’!
