Over the course of 2020 I listened to a lot of Greek Metal Music, most of it was Epic Metal, Power Metal or even Doom. EXARSIS are a full-blown kick ass Thrash Metal band much like OVERKILL, EXODUS or GAMA BOMB (and you know exactly what this means, don’t you?). After the third song, ‘The Truth Is No Defence’, I was hooked. Nick T. on vocals is the perfect hysterical mixture of OVERKILL’s Blitz and GAMA BOMB’s Philly Byrne. The riffgasms provided by Christos T. are fast as bullets and just as deadly, Chris P. on bass and Panos M. on drums provide the frame, the pace and represent the bands heart and soul. As I write and listen to ‘Mouthtied’ I realize that there are even similarities to 3 INCHES OF BLOOD (adoration level now at over 9000!). I have to admit I was not expecting this top notch kick in the nuts mixed with awesome melodies and great vocals. Check them out before Gatekeepers do.
Conclusion: Great violent fun with riffs and hooks enough to last another lockdown (not that anyone would EVER want that).
