Review Flash

Before getting this material I never heard of Chilean musician Seba Castillo but I am pretty sure we all will in the not so distant future. Castillo is a multi-instrumentalist (the Pandemic showed me how many of those are out there...). He played and recorded the five-song EP all by himself and I must say: Damn it, man! This is pretty fine bad-ass old-school Thrash Metal that reminds me very much of MEGADETH, Castillo’s voice sound so awfully like Dave Mustaine that it instantly puts all the right buttons on my emotional fingerboard. This is fast, angry and intense and, although from Chile and 2021, this gives me all the right feelings reminding me of old music videos in crappy pre-HD quality. All the time we hear this sermon of scared gatekeepers being afraid of the death of their heroes and the desperate search for successors to the heavy metal throne: feast your ears on Metal from Chile, Greece and Italy because there is a fuck-load of quality steel that is forged in those countries. I am not afraid that there won’t be new heroes once the titans are gone. There will always be heroes...

Conclusion: Even if KEYSCORE sound like MEGADETH, this is a pleasure I am guilty as fuck of!
