Review Flash

FULANNO is a band based in Argentina, they play pretty decent Stoner Rock that strongly borders on Doom and their cover artwork is dope as fuck. Their record is named ‘Nadie está a Salvo del Mal’ which means ‘No one is safe from evil’. FULANNO is active since 2010 and this is their second LP to date. Sound-wise this is old-school, mixing the best of both Stoner and Doom to create a disarming multi-layered musical experience. Also, I don’t understand the lyrics due to them being in Spanish I can say that most fans of Stoner Rock and Doom will enjoy this quite a bit as it is very melodic and slow-moving like a traffic jam on the highway on a hot summer day. FULANNO is a three-piece consisting of Mauro Carolesa on bass, Jose A Frontera on drums and Fila Frutos on vocals and guitars. Musically this is nothing too complex but that is not the intention behind this sound, complexity is not needed in this genres, hooks and riff are the foundation on which this narrative is enthroned.

Conclusion: If you like your Stoner music sabulous, slow and kinda depressing this is your sound.
