Review Flash

It is always nice to get new stuff from Brazil and Dying Victims Records has, hands down, the right instinct for absolute phenomenal old-school Metal like it was written and played in the golden days. NIGHT PROWLER hail from Osasco, São Paulo, the band was formed in 2017 and this is their debut full-length ‘No Escape’. The record is ten songs strong and the included material is upper class when it comes to compositions and execution (if you close your eyes you feel like watching Cobra Kai, if you know what I mean). Vocalist Fernando Donasi does a phenomenal job, sounding like the great ones of the late 70s and 80s (IRON MAIDEN, DEMON and SAMSON come to mind). The dynamic duo on six-string duty (Igor Senna and Luke D. Couto) play in a very melodic way that really blows me away. Cave Hoffman on drums is very vigorous and accurate (a real pace making beast) and Gabriel Texeira is a bass man to be reckoned with, that dude knows how to stage himself (that dude skilled as fuck when it comes to nuanced moments in the spotlight). If you don’t know about Brazilian Metal or the good work of Dying Victims Records, you should check this out and broaden your metallic horizon.

Conclusion: Undoubtedly, these guys are meant for the big stages

Rating: 8 / 10
