Review Flash

WITCHSEEKER from Singapore were formed in 2012, scene of the wild is the bands second full-length after 2017 ‘When the Clock Strikes’. The Metal Archives compare the band to act like SKULL FIST and ENFORCER but I don’t agree, music-wise maybe but the vocals of Sheikh Spitfire are nothing like Olof Wikstrand’s and they don’t remind me of Zack’s vocals either. Sheikh has a more raw and aggressive approach to his vocals which reminds me of a version of more Punk influenced version of W.A.S.P. Instrumentally these guys know what they do but the compositions are less catchy and neat than that of bands like CAULDRON, STRIKER or WHITE WIZZARD just to mention the usual suspects of modern yet old-school Heavy Metal bands. The opener ‘Scene of the Wild’ is my favourite, just a melodic, raw ass kicker.

Conclusion: If you dig the mentioned bands but also like a bit more grit and rawness you should give this a go.
