Review Flash

And another evening in good company, this time it is WITCH CROSS from Copenhagen, Denmark. These guys rock your socks off since 1982 (OK, there was a bit of a 26-year break between 1986 and 2012). Anyways since 2012 they are back and ‘Angel Of Death’ is their third full-length. Kev Moore basically sounds like SAXON’s Biff Byford and the rest of the band has a strong TOKYO BLADE vibe here and there so it’s like some kind of SAXONBLADE? Doesn’t matter as I have to state that this sound old-school all the way, cool riffs, rhythms, a fat bass and vocals that constantly remind you of the glory days of the NWOBHM (there are millions of ways to have less fun listening to music). And if all the back-to-the-80s feels are not enough for you to check them out... every now and then their heritage shows and they sing about Vikings, warriors and the sea!

Conclusion: If you dig the NWOBHM and especially love SAXON this should be a no-brainer.
