Review Flash

As not many know (I did not know for quite a while) Serbia has a decent Metal scene. INFEST was formed in 2002 and ‘Psychosis’ is their sixth full-length Death Thrash wrecking ball. This is not for the faint of heart or people that like their music highly melodic and wrapped in tenderness-made-audible, this is a stab in the gut with a big and sharp knife. Song titles like ‘The Last Cremation’ or ‘Mental Warfare’ make it clear: these guys are not of the sensitive kind, the vocals of the man called Vandal are fuelled by anger and hate while the rest of the band often maintains some sense of order and even melodic capabilities and a tendency to steer the narrative in some kind of organized direction, he punches kicks and elbows his way through the songs, ever forward but as brutal as it gets. The sense of most songs escapes me because I did not get my hands on any lyrics but I am pretty sure ‘Blood for Blood’ is not based on a nice day at the blood preservation...

Conclusion: If you need something that is so aggressive and brutal that it totally kills every tendency of yourself to escalate: this is your drug, treat yourself!
