KAPUTTH is a Doom / Sludge band from Nuremberg, their first single ‘Bergschwer’ (translated it means heavy as a mountain) is undoubtedly a very heavy piece of music that really feels like a good start for the theatrical three-piece. Text-wise this is a very negative song which can also be interpreted as if you have nothing left to lose means you are really free. Sound-wise this is very slow and almost creeping along, riffs are rarely varied but the repetition is calculated and works quite nicely as a symbol of musical hopelessness and eternal recapitulation. This song works really well because Tobias Hüttmeyer’s vocals fit perfectly to Adriano Seifert’s guitars / bass and Gregor Seifert’s drums drive the narrative ever forward. If the next sign of live is of similar quality there is place in the scene, waiting for these guys
