Review Flash

Another day, another ride with a multi-instrumentalist. ELD VARG is the love child of Ollie Noakes who is, as mentioned a second ago, responsible for everything from composing to writing to playing every instrument you can witness on ‘One Man Army’. ELD VARG was formed in 2013 and it took a fuckload of time to become what it is today, after creating four to five songs without completing them Ollie lost interest for a while a while only to stumble over a riff while just playing around. This lit the spark again which lead to Ollie completing the writing, composing and recording of this very album. Sound-wise the biggest influences to ELD VARG seem to be GRAND MAGUS, ETERNAL CHAMPION and MANOWAR. ELD VARG is all about Norse mythology, fantasy tales and warriors being fucking bad-asses and I am all here for it! What Ollie accomplished sound-wise and when it comes to atmosphere is really top notch. ‘Between The Moon And Stars’, ‘Wastelands’ and ‘The Thunders Of Mount Doom’ are hits in my book and I am dead-sure that the heavy metal underground will eat this up and welcome ELD VARG with open arms.

Conclusion: If you like fist raising, fire breathing, mead sweating Metal this is your thing.
