TOXIC CARNAGE from São Paulo, Brazil send me their EP ‘Primitive’ because I publicly (Facebook) asked bands to send me their stuff to participate in my preselection for album of the year. So what do these gentlemen bring to the table sound-wise? I think the most proper way to describe the TOXIC CARNAGE sound is: rude, rough and a bit unhinged. There is simply not a thing on this planet that holds them back, to say that the songs on ‘Primitive’ are melodic or full of finesse would be a blatant and bold lie but the music of Robson Dionisio (vocals, guitar, bass), Bruno Campos (drums) and Roberlei (guitars) has a fuckload of vicious energy that animates to kick Thrash cans, set things on fire and get shitfaced. The songs and the lyrics point to the sub-sub-genre Pizza Thrash (Thrash Metal but with rather nonsensical / funny lyrics). All in all this is your go to when it comes to music that plays loud in the background while you and your body destroy the venue.
