Helldone on the Road: Beastmilk, Pertti Kurikan Nimipaivat, HIM
Helldone is the New Year's Eve Festival hosted and headlined by the world famous Finnish band HIM. This tradition has started long ago, first time was back in 1999, although the name Helldone Festival came later, only in 2005. This year, for the first time since 2008, the festival made shows not only in Helsinki, but also in finish towns of Oulu, Seinajoki, Tampere and the main event, traditionally taking place in Tavastia Club, Helsinki was supported by the BEASTMILK (the promising Finnish SISTERS OF MERCY inspired post-punk band) and PERTTI KURIKAN NIMIPAIVAT (the Helsinki-based punk band, consisting of the disabled guys).

Planet Myer Day 12: S’Apex, Binary Park, Hecq, Klangstabil, Haujobb
It is kind if tradition – not only for me – to travel to Leipzig beginning of a new year for the Planet Myer day, taking place for the twelfth time already. People who did not buy a ticket in advance were really unlucky this time since the event was sold-out and the venue turned out to be really packed already for the first band, Daniel Myer’s project A’APEX. Today, there was no second floor and five bands were up to deliver high-class electronic music.

Turbinenhalle, Oberhausen, Germany
29th December 2013
Eisbrecher Year-End Show with support of Darkhaus & Black Blitz
The year-end closing concert of the EISBRECHER tour took place at the Turbinenhalle (turbine hall) Oberhausen. Quite typical for the Ruhr area, the location was formerly built for industrial purposes. Built in 1909 to produce energy and compressed air to supply the ‘Iron hut II’, it was rebuilt several times since the 1980’s when the steel industry left Oberhausen. Nowadays the location is not only a place for live events of all kind, a discotheque, a restaurant and an indoor soccer ground, but it is also a stop station on the ‘Route of industrial culture’. The concert hall has approximately a capacity for 3,000/ 3,500 people standing and it was packed for the final EISBRECHER show of the year!

Samsas Traum - Acoustic Show
On the occasion of the Christmassy concert of SAMSAS TRAUM we travelled southwards to Marburg, the hometown of Alexander Kaschte, mastermind of SAMSAS TRAUM. As we arrived early we had the chance to walk around the picturesque city, visit the Christmas market and grab something to eat before we headed to the KFZ, an alternative cultural centre, where the concert took place.
