Together with a dear friend, On this Sunday evening I made my way to Munich to see DOWN BELOW at the 59:1 for their first ever show in the Bavarian capital (in accordance with Neo-Scope).

This Hamburg based band was founded at the beginning of the new millennium now developing step by step their dark atmospheric sound. [SOON] is working in the live circuit ever since 2003, the debut album ‘End Isolation’ was released in April 2006 containing all in all ten dark rock songs. A second album, ‘Without a trace’, followed in August 2007. During the last years, the band already supported such bands as 4LYN, BEATSTEAKS or SAMAEL. Music & Performance
Shortly after 9:00 PM it was so time and singer Eric, together with the rest of the band, appeared on stage in an unfortunately still very empty club. With songs as for example 'High Time', 'Estrangement' or also 'Lonely Way', the four artists proved their skills and could absolutely score within the audience. Above all, the voice of the singer and the rousing beats were remarkable. After nine songs, their show came already to an end and the likeable boys made the stage freely for DOWN BELOW.

Down Below
DOWN BELOW is a Dark Rock band from Dessau-Roßlau (Germany) which was founded in 2003. In 2007, the band took part in Rock am Ring and in 2008 they started for Saxony-Anhalt with Stefan Raab's federal vision song contest with the title 'Sand In Meiner Hand' (Sand in my hand) and reached even place 3 what made them better known in the republic. During the both last years they toured as support band for UNHEILIG. Their latest album 'Zeichen' was released recently, on the 10th of February 2012. www.downbelow.de
Music & Performance
After a rebuilding break, singer Neo Scope, guitarist Carter, bassist Convex and drummer Mr. Mahony arrived on stage - completely without the well-known cylinder on the heads what was not really bad in my opinion. Unfortunately, the audience was not really increasing by now. Nevertheless, this fact did no harm according to the mood in the club and also the band was obviously in a good mood. Singer Neo Scope was very talkative throughout the evening and from beginning, he was pulling the guests under his spell with his voice and his stories. Thus, it also came to song requests by the audience and with songs like 'Du und Ich' or also 'Dein Wille', the guests took part in a good mood. 
Unfortunately, this concert also ended too early - DOWN BELOW left the stage after a few additions and applause with the promise to meet the fans after short break on the Merch stand.

This evening presented a very successful concert with soulful songs, but also harder sounds. However, it was a great pity that the number of the guests was so low - even for Munich relations more than sadly!
