A band like MADSEN, TOMTE or even THE NOTWIST promises the press release of TAKK, a band founded in Bamberg. Catchy melodies, perfect fitting hook lines, charismatic voices and inspiring compositions are the benchmark for their debut ‘In diesen Tagen’. Most of all, the release deals with the love theme in its variations: desire, lovesickness, joy etc. Unfortunately, all the songs doesn’t outrun a certain level of musical quality. Although I’m able to make some headway within the songs, in my opinion most of them are, I’m sorry to say, nothing but shallow water. Maybe, it’s the very high benchmark that leads to the conclusion, that ‘In diesen Tagen’ cannot live up to its promises or maybe I’m too old for this! But to be honest, I’ve seen a lot of such bands and I have listened to them for so many times… if I’m in the mood for that kind of music, I prefer the “originals” and not one of the countless copies. Sorry guys…
