Jamiroquai & Purple Disco Machine
With 7,500 visitors, the Mitsubishi-Electric-Halle in Düsseldorf was packed and sold-out. Anyone wanted to see JAMIROQUAI, who was visiting Germany many, many years ago for the last time. Now he is back with the new album ‘Automaton’ and all of a sudden, the sound of the nineties is alive again. Singer Jay Kay brought a lot of musical support on stage… all in all ten additional musicians… backing vocals, percussions and drams, keyboards, bass and guitar. Of course he appeared with a fancy illuminated head-piece and also the light show was fancy with lots of light, lasers and background videos on various LED screens.
The concert is great fun and a big party with lots of people jumping to the music. Besides songs from the new album, i.e. ‘Shake it on’, also fan favourites from the past found their way into the setlist, just to mention a few like ‘Space Cowboy’, ‘Alright’ or the famous ‘Cosmic Girl’. The concert evening as opened by Dresden based PURPLE DISCO MACHINE with a kind of DJ set. Please enjoy our pictures of the evening.
