It's probably not possible to rock in a more idyllic way: the Loreley presents itself again as deluxe festival grounds for rock and metal fans on 10th and 11th June 2016. The ROCK FELS festival takes place then, which had its successful debut this summer – this time around two months earlier, already in June. The first bands will be announced shortly. While other festivals are often times dominated by rough grounds, long ways from the camping area to the stage and few chances for shade and seats, the ROCK FELS festival offers completely different local conditions. The divine Rhine valley setting enables “deluxe” festival conditions which do justice to all those open air visitors who don't necessarily want to experience muddy meadows and the vast extent of the prairie anymore. During numerous open air events, the Loreley has already established itself not only as a beautiful and sophisticated location but also as one where one can enjoy one's time chilled, familiarly and without stress. A perfect mix of rock concert, cosy beer garden and short break in one of the most spectacular, scenic areas of Germany.
The festival will take place around two months earlier as originally intended next year, namely already in June instead of August. That's due to organisational reasons. “We also considered the many wishes of the visitors”, says the organiser. “There are many, other events in mid-August, besides it is vacation and travel time. June should be far more relaxed.” The festival will already begin on Thursday 9th June with a warm up party in the beer garden Loreley again, a castle visit is planned for Friday morning for a limited number of visitors. Thanks to a cooperation with a local vintner cooperative, two festival wines are also planned for the coming year. Those who are interested in middle ages and castles or even in wine culture are definitely offered a lot of stuff in the area besides the festival.
