We proudly present the first five bands confirmed for the NCN 5 in 2010:

Die Art
The German independent legend Die Art has been rocking clubs and stages for more than 20 years with their own distinctive kind of punk rock, intoxicating their listeners in a way which sometimes lead to pogo and stage diving. Those who have a soft spot for authentic performance and beautiful sad lyrics want to beware: the cult band might rip their hearts out. Being known as fathers and pioneers of East-German indie pop and post punk, Die Art once again proves their reputation to be an outstanding and unmistakable cult band which never denied their roots and musical influences and still always sound like Die Art.

In The Nursery
In The Nursery is the Sheffield-based musical project centred around the nucleus of twin brothers Klive and Nigel Humberstone. ITN's musical history spans more than twenty five years and has constantly expressed their desire for progress and experimentation. Their sublime, cinematic music blends electronica, classical arrangements, orchestral percussion and soundscapes evoking a timeless quality. In The Nursery have released more than two dozen albums since 1981. The creative progress of the band’s albums has always consolidated their distinctive sound while taking on board contemporary influences.

Leæther Strip
After a long period of silence the year 2005 marks the official return for one of the most exciting emerging acts in Europe in the early 90's - Leæther Strip, the solo-project of the Danish electronic industrial artist Claus Larsen and. Yet it took another four years for Claus to return to the stage as well. But now the legend is back

Patenbrigade:Wolff
Sven Wolff (Brigadier) and Lance Murdock (Brigadeleiter) make no secret of their obsession with heavy machinery. Already at an early age, they preferred the fascinating bustle of large scale construction sites over playgrounds, observing the plethora of busy construction workers and their, in theses boys’ eyes at least, dramatic interactions. The musical output of the self-styled tower crane conductors is an invitation to follow them on their mostly instrumental trips across the rooftops of any large city. It simply is THE “Electro Ambient for Tower Crane Conductors” and remains dedicated to tower crane conductors across the world.

Star Industry
Over the last 10 years, Belgium's best gothic rock export to date, Star Industry have built a strong reputation for their live performances through numerous appearances across Europe in the scenes biggest festivals. They have a couple of timeless club hits (« Nineties », etc.) to their credit as well. Even though the band has long established their very own distinctive sound, the singer's voice will surely continue bringing them comparisons to Sisters of Mercy's Andrew Eldritch, while the music will evoke other Goth Rock legends like Fields of the Nephilim or yet Paradise Lost.
