As of 1st March 2011, musicians under the age of 30 can sign-up for Upload, the contest for young bands and aspiring solo artists. You can sign up until 30th April in uploading your own, unreleased song to http://www.upload.bz.it/ and compiling your résumé. With its cunning mixture of music contest and festival, UPLOAD is at its fourth incarnation now.
Young people will have the unique chance to compete musically and artistically on a national and international scale, as well as improving themselves. A creative exchange between musicians from different regions, with other styles and genres is meant to stimulate young musicians from all across Europe. After the dead line and until May, the jury will choose the semi-finalists who’ll then be performing behind closed doors for the jury members. Afterwards, the jury’s choosing the 6 finalists, performing as opening acts on the big Upload Stage. The festival’s going to take place on 10th and 11th June.
