The album is getting raving feedback in the press all over the globe. Just to mention the most striking results so far:
"'Sounds Of A Playground Fading' is a stunning return to form. Sounding absolutely immense, the record wields the perfect balance of melody and muscle, light and shade, heartache and hatred, every track providing an important piece of the overall picture" – 4K Dan Slessor / Kerrang (UK)
"Sounds...is ultimately the sound of a band who's presence is growing stronger still" - Metal Hammer (UK)
"The Swedes earn the full respect for holding for the pressure after so many successful albums on their shoulders and for how easily they compensated Jesper Strömblad's drop out with flying colours. SOUNDS OF A PLAYGROUND FADING is proof of that. Applause!" - (6/7) Metal Hammer (GER)
"Beating riffs and aggressive growls interplaying with clear melodies and floating vocal lines, all without ever neglecting the classic contrast of lead and rhythm guitar – match that if you can!" – (8/10) Slam (AT)
"With this record the band proves they are in control of their own destiny, that's why they do the music they like, and that makes them even bigger than they've ever been" - Metal Hammer (ES)
"'Sounds Of A Playground Fading' is, to put it simply, a perfect album" - Metal Hammer (IT)
"'Sounds Of A Playground Fading' is undeniably the most emotional album yet and certainly seems to be In Flames' most successful outing to date. In Flames has grown into a metal monster"- Metallian (F)
"'Sounds Of A Playground Fading' is the best thing that In Flames has produced in a long time" - (92/100)
Rock Tribune (BE)
"A solid mature album" - (88/100) UP Magazine (NL)
