The black banners of the cult of death are blowing: With their second album, ‘D.R.E.A.M.’, the Hamburg-based Industrial Gothic metallers JOHNNY DEATHSHADOW set about to finally pulverize traditional genre boundaries. Modern, hard, melodic, sinister: ‘D.R.E.A.M.’, which was once again created in collaboration with producer Alex Henke and again features Marcel Zürcher (DIE KRUPPS, BLACK MOON SECRET, FANTÔME) and Kai Stuffel (WIRTZ, LORD OF THE LOST, PETER MAFFAY), emphasizes the claim of the Hamburg-based band, to connect their dark Gothic aesthetics including the striking skull make-up with modern metal and hard electronics.‘D.R.E.A.M.’ is the polished result of a musical ripening process, which was presented already in 2017 and 2018 among others on tours with STAHLMANN, CYPECORE, THE KRUPPS and of course at spectacular shows at festivals like the Wacken Open Air, M'era Luna, WGT and With Full Force. With D.R.E.A.M., JOHNNY DEATHSHADOW started wresting the Gothic Metal crown from the outdated German Gloom-Rock guard - and what that means can be seen at the end of 2018 on tour with UNZUCHT, where the new songs are first presented to a live audience, before ‘D.R.E.A.M.’ will be unleashed on the masses and then presented throughout Germany in 2019 on the ‘In Black We Trust’ tour together with HELL BOULEVARD.
