LISBON CANCELLATIONThe Depeche Mode concert scheduled for Lisbon's Alvalade Stadium on July 28 is cancelled, due to the serious financial difficulties of the promoter Jose Araujo's company Brand New Day. Unfortunately this promoter failure makes it impossible for Depeche Mode to perform this Lisbon concert. The Band apologize to disappointed fans. Ticket holders are advised to seek advice on refunds from the point of purchase.

Placebo
During their celebrated shows at “Rock am Ring” and “Rock im Park” Placebo emerged as the secret headliner. The show there was attended by as many visitors as with the big names “Depeche Mode”, “Metallica” and “Guns N’ Roses”. But the euphoric reactions were not that surprising – the trio around front man Brian Molko has developed to one of the biggest and best Alternative-acts on our planet long ago. AOL Music News reports that EVANESCENCE is offering a taste of its new album, "The Open Door", in a movie-like teaser featuring the track "Lacrymosa". Watch the trailer at AOL.com, YouTube.com."The Open Door" is scheduled for release on October 3 via Wind-Up. The band's second major label offering, "The Open Door" will follow up 2003's six-million-selling "Fallen". When asked to describe the sound of the new disc, singer Amy Lee told Launch it was hard to explain. "It's different than the last album, but it's still EVANESCENCE," she said. "I think the fans are really gonna love it. I'm a fan, I love this band, I wouldn't be doing it if I wouldn't love it, and I love it, so I guess that's sort of my gauge for everything. But it's different, it's kind of fun and sexy, but it's still, like, dark and, like, really epic at times."
