AMORPHIS' guitar player Esa Holopainen has posted the following update on the band's official website www.amorphis.net: "It's been a really hectic year in the AMORPHIS-camp, and at the same time one of the best ones in our career. We released “Eclipse”, the first album with Mr. Joutsen on vocals, in spring and all the response from album and shows have been great. We ´ve really won back the mood, from which I honestly thought that we lost years back. Big thanks to Tomi and his inspiration to all of us. With “Eclipse” we have opened new era in our career, and yes, we are still together with this lineup.- Details

Accession-FestivalWe’re into the final countdown – only a few more days until the Accession Festival will open its gates on Saturday, 23.12.2006 at the the Kulturfabrik at Krefeld. Headliners Diary of Dreams will be supported by other Accession bands such as SITD, Diorama, Painbastard and Faderhead. Apart from enjoying the brilliant music, you’ll also have the chance to obtain CDs and merchandise stuff, and especially in regard to clothing we have some new highlights on offer. The “Traumtänzer” t-shirt and the “Traumtänzer” girlie will surely become favorites among the fans. We’re all looking forward to a big end-of-year party celebrating the 10th anniversary of Accession Records!

18 months after the release of their successful "No Time For Silence" album, our Berlin chart invaders do it again and return with a 3rd album which could not have been more aptly titled... "Heading For Tomorrow" features SERO.OVERDOSE's signature sound characterised by catchy alluring male vocals, highly melodic synth-pop lines and modern EBM beats, it also reveals a more dancefloor frontal approach perfectly illustrated by their new club hits "Fire", “Tears In Rain” and "Wut". Napalm Records announced that the band is reduced to one member. In an official statement Ronny Thorsen said: "On 26 November, Trail of Tears completed a 10-day tour of Mexico, a tour which was in large parts ridden with logistical problems and resulted in a severe financial loss for everyone involved. As a result, I was called to the band hotel in the morning of November 28 for a meeting by the other members. Upon my arrival, I was told that because of the situation the other members had decided to end the band effective immediately. This decision was made without my consultation or approval, and thus it is left for me to clarify that Trail of Tears has not disbanded. The band will continue in a new shape and formation. Though I am very disappointed by the decision of the other band members, the decision to leave a band is an individual choice that I completely respect." Due to the short notice of these departures, Thorsen is forced to cancel the upcoming X-Mas Tour in support of Trail of Tears' forthcoming release "Existentia".Source: Newsletter
