One the greatest rock bands in Scandinavia is now ready - Swedish Kent plays its only festival concert this summer at Roskilde Festival. Also, there are new sounds from England with the raving and gilt-edged pop songs from The Futureheads.
Kent (S) is in great shape. Following a decade of awards, recognition and several sold out tours, Kent has put still greater intensity into their indie rock inspired songs. The music has become even more reflective with more black 'n' blue shades. However, fundamentally, the music still carries Kent's trademark as ambassador of sparkling rock tunes. Kent's large and loyal fan base can expect a unique experience at Roskilde '05
The Futureheads (UK) are the perfect comrades-in-arms in the battle against boredom and conformity. The band from Sunderland has found an exceptional formula which makes their songs immediately catchy while they also improve at repeated listens. The Futureheads plunge headlong into edgy guitar riffs, twitchy rhythms, catchy hook lines and charming vocal harmonies that are both sung and shouted with a Northern English dialect. It will be wild and original!
