STAIND - one of the most successful bands of emotional rock - produced their last album ‘The Illusion of Progress’ in August 2008. The fabulous songwriter and singer Aaron Lewis opened the doors to the mainstream with ‘It’s been awhile’. Their track record seems to have no ending. The song ‘Believe’ climbed up the US-Charts in a fast way and Mike Mushok (guitar) reported at an interview: “‘The Illusion of Progress’ is a big Step for us - musical and textual.”

The LA Times music blog Pop & Hiss reports that Depeche Mode has finished recording work on the band's forthcoming studio album, its first since 2005's "Playing the Angel". The as-yet-untitled album, slated for release in April 2009, will have about 12 tracks. The band recorded 18 in total including "Wrong", "Peace Will Come to Me", "Hole to Feed", "Comeback" and "In Chains", the latter three were co-written by Gahan.
