Dark electro project Acylum joins Alfa Matrix! Pedro Engel aka Acylum has signed a contract with the Belgian label Alfa Matrix. The Chemnitz-based dark electro project started back in 2004. His debut album "Your Pain" was released in 2005 and the radical use of provocative samples immediately brought him some controversial reactions amongst the press in Germany in particular where some historical moments remain touchy and taboo. The follow-up album "Mental Disorder" was released in 2007 and got him comparisons to the early period of bands such as :Wumpscut: or Suicide Commando. Kirlian Camera are out on a mission! On their new 11-track special-price album “Shadow Mission HELD V”, Italian cult-group Kirlian Camera embarks on an extraordinary sonic journey that will pave the way for “Odyssey Europa”, a comprehensive retrospective set due for release later this year. Centrepiece of the new mini album is a modern and seriously club-compatible re-invention of the group’s classic hit “Heldenplatz” plus an array of new songs that can easily stand in line with some of Kirlian Camera’s biggest classics. 2009 will be a very important and busy year for the New Jersey punk institution THE BOUNCING SOULS. The band celebrates 20 years of pulsating, funny and honest Punk Rock with exclusive surprise for old and new fans. Even though it might be true that the music industry has gotten somewhat dusty in the past 20 years, THE BOUNCING SOULS opted for stirring up that dust firmly. It’s been 16 years since the first album has been released on the own label Chunksaah records. True to the Do-it-yourself spirit of the early days, THE BOUNCING SOULD is going to release a new song in every month of 2009; of course on Chunksaah Records. First the song will be released each month as digital download and all three months as 7” vinyl for fans and collectors.

LALAH aka Dörte Benzer is composer, singer, drummer and on good days a poet. In her Hamburg studio Raffinade, she’s recording the songs and in-between she’s travelling to Denmark to compose time and again or designs covers for Mangas if she needs money. She loves movies like Fargo and in summer she likes to swim or hang around. Her mainly self-produced album ‘Ich wär soweit’ is going to be released on 2nd February 2009. LALAH is being featured on the album by JOHNY LIEBLING (Universal Jazz) and OCKER (Popup Records). So far she’s performed on albums by PUNCH TB and HIPPIEHAUS, played live on the South By Southwest Festival in Austin and at the CMJ Music Marathon in New York, booked together a small tour via internet and played live and solo with MD-Player at Poetry Slams in Harlem and as special guest at the legendary Friday Night Slam in Nuyorican.
