IO, Widespread Lingo + Special Guests
Germany was shocked in 2003 by the break-up of the most successful German Alternative Rock band of all time. The GUANO APES outlived themselves; the sum of the parts didn’t fit together anymore, but repelled itself. An era with several successful albums showing you can actually have great success with honest; energetic rock music had come to its end. It wasn’t an easy farewell – neither for the band nor their fans, still there’s a new beginning to every end and so bass player Stefan Ude, Drummer Dennis Poschwatta; and guitarist Henning Rümenapp came back together in the studio only three months after the official split with no intention of forming a new band back then.

It's the second time that Kutte (vocals) of the band TARABAS has organized the Schwertklingenfest. Last year the bands knew how to persuade the audience and I'm sure ABROGATION, ANDRAS, ASENBLUT, FIMBULVET and STRYDEGOR know how to rock the stage, too! ZEROMANCER and Guests
Founded in 1999 in Los Angeles, the Norwegian Synth-Rock band’s albums ‘Clone your Lover’ (2000), ‘Eurotrash’ (2001) and ‘Zzyzx’ (2003) made a great stir in the European and US-American alternative music scene. ZEROMANCER went on extensive tours with artists such as APOPTYGMA BERZERK, THE 69 EYES and PROJECT PITCHFORK and acquired by showing forceful live performances a huge fan base within some years.

DE/VISION and Guest
The year 2008 was a really eventful one for Steffen Keth and Thomas Adam: Together with more than 1,000 fans they celebrated their 20th anniversary in Berlin - a perfect reason to introduce the especially compiled ‘Electronic Set’ that offers a great view of the band’s work in a purely electronic way. Furthermore, DE/VISION went on tour through Russia, the Netherlands, Turkey, France, Bulgaria, UK, the USA, and Lithuania and enjoyed their enthusiastic audience everywhere.
