Mexico attacks again! The other Middle American figurehead in Harsh Electro has completed works on its third album – and it is a hefty experience, indeed! Harder and far more infernal than ever, “Madness In Abyss” crushes us with rhythmic loops and pulsing beats while heavily distorted vocals and whipping EBM-sequencers kick us in the face. Edgar, Polo and Raoul have left their basic sound, an industrial perversion of Techno and Trance, intact but have embedded them in more complex and intense, sample-heavy constructs, thus banning the last spark of light from their songs. The Mexican trio has kept the clubs in mind as well, though, basing their Hardfloor attack on straight beats combined with atmospheric soundscapes that provide their aggressive sounds with a catchy edge.- Details

After a satanic murder, the German electro act Wumpscut has again - needlessly - been mentioned in a recent murder case. Matti Saari, 22, the student gunman who killed 10 people at a Finnish school before fatally shooting himself in the head quoted lyrics from the Wumpscut song "War" on his YouTube profile 'Wumpscut86' which was suspended soon after. Especially the quote "Whole life is war and whole life is pain and you will fight alone in your personal war" has attracted the attention from the mainstream press such as The Guardian who also added that Saari 'worshipped war, hated mankind and lived alone with his cat'... Even before SUEDE debuted with their first self-titled album in 1993, front man Brett Anderson was discovered as new favourite of all cover desks in UK’s music press. This androgyny aura, combined with the dandy-like rebel’s attitude, gave back the long missed face to the grunge-tossed British rock and brings back memories of two masters of theatrical great emotions BOWIE and MORRISSEY. SUEDE’s songs and sounds were the soundtrack for England before Britpop and BRETT ANDERSON was its unique voice. His second album ‘Wilderness’ was recorded in only 7 days with a minimal line-up. Besides Anderson on piano and guitar, the singer is only supported by cellist Amy Langley and singer Emmanuelle Seigner. ‘Wilderness’ touches the soul and surely is the perfect soundtrack for autumn.Source: Press Release
