Eight years can be a damn long time; millions of AC/DC fans all around the world can tell you a thing or two about it. We remember: Last time, when the Australian Rock icons released a studio album, the German national coach’s name was Erich Ribbeck and Stefan Raab’s ‘Maschendrahtzaun’ haunted the charts. In autumn 2008, the time shall be come; the yet untitled successor to ‘Stiff Upper Lip’ will see the light of day. It is the meanwhile 15th studio album of the band and created under the direction of super-producer Brendan O’Brien, who already put the finishing touches on songs of RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, PEARL JAM and INCUBUS.- Details

The southerners of BLACK STONE CHERRY just threw some hot potato on the market which will get all admirers of solid rock music excited. There’ll be a tour in support of the new record on which the guys will stop at the Matrix in Bochum on 25th November and at the Underground in Cologne on 2nd December. On 27th August 2008, an artistic collaboration, never been there before, will premier at the arena Wildbrunn adjacent to Vienna. The ancient comedy “Die Weiber in der Volksversammlung” of Greek poet Aristophanes will be musically supported by the gothic metal band ÜEBERMUTTER with Lucy van Ork. In this theatre play of the Austrian special edition, ÜEBERMUTTER will take on the part of the choir, which commented the events on the theatre stage in the ancient times. “The first comedy in Greek-gothic style”, says CEO Michael Karden and refers to the undaunted actuality of the 3000 years old story, “which could only be melodised with music from the 21st century.” Director of this culture experiment is Michael Thalmann.- MINOR MAJORITY - Additional concert date
