The sulphurous, vitriolic and corroded copper smoke that arose slowly, killed every living thing in its vicinity. Many people died of poisoning and even today, many lakes and forests around Falun, Sweden lie dead and full of toxins. Shaped by this historic industrial environment Gabriella Åström (Vocals & Synth), Tobias Andersson (Synth & Guitar) and Jonas Martinsson(Drums) formed the electro-pop band ME THE TIGER back in 2012.- Details

Coppelius’ Steampunk Opera “Klein Zaches, Great” Zinnober
Something extraordinary is going to take place in Gelsenkirchen in the very near future. The innovative German Steampunk rockers COPPELIUS have decided to collaborate with the symphonic orchestra Neue Philharmonie Westfalen in order to breathe life into E.T.A. Hoffman's 19th century tale ”Klein Zaches, great Zinnober”. They declare it to be the “first Steampunk opera” to ever grace this planet and it is going to be directed by Sebastian Schwab.

On 7th August, the new LEICHTMATROSE album ‘Du, ich und die anderen’ (you, me and the others) will be released. LEICHTMATROSE is different! The organic electro chanson fills the room with honeysweet melodies and expressive poetry during which the seemingly digestible snack gets stuck in one's throat sufficiently oftentimes. LEICHTMATROSE provoke and are often thought-provoking with their sarcastic lyrics. There is the fight declared against the terrycloth pyjama, the celebration of the swansong for the arse antlers or bundling the powers of the shelter father Joachim Witt in order to overcome the disturbing topic of post-war trauma. - Details

One year before celebrating 10 year anniversary, the promoters of EOD in Cologne made up a really good line up, let’s see if they can top that in 2016. This year FROZEN PLASMA, HAUJOBB, ACCESSORY, PHOSGORE and UNTERSCHICHT will be playing and of course there won’t be only band playing but also DJ’s will be there to make you dance – and this even right before AMPHI Festival. So maybe if you didn’t get a ticket for the “Call the ships to port“ thing on 24th July, don’t know what to do and want to have a good start into a hot weekend full of music, this might be an option to think about!
