Finland has not only brought forth HIM, but also other notorious bands and we know that at least since this band: THE 69 EYES. After numerous performances in local clubs THE EYES got a contract with the Finnish underground label “Gaga Goodies” and released their debut `Bump'n'Grind´ in 1992. Three albums later, they switched to Roadrunner Records and took the Finnish single charts by storm with their record `Wasting the Dawn´ and the same-named single, on which Ville Valo (HIM) contributed some baking vocals. What followed was an extensive tour through Europe, a gig at the M'era Luna Festival, and being the support act for bands such as PARADISE LOST.About 25 years later, the so-called “Helsinki Vampires” can look back on by now ten studio albums as well as various live, best-of, and re-mastered releases. With such a legacy in their hands they haven't just managed to survive as a band, but also to constantly reinvent their very own version of Goth'n'Roll. It was only in April this year that they released a Best-Of collection (`The Best Of Helsinki Vampires´), which presents a quarter-century band history. They are literally a band that doesn't like to be stopped dead in their tracks. So, drummer Jussi 69 (Jussi Heikki Tapio Vuori) isn't only a well known radio presenter, but has also opened a lounge bar this year in addition to his endeavors in music. And a new album is also in the works. Singer Jyrki 69 has recently revealed that there's going to be a new single at the end of the year and that the album will follow in spring. Johnny Lee Michaels, who was already on board in the making of the albums `Blessed Be´ and `Paris Kills´, will produce the yet untitled long-player. Therefore, we can certainly look forward to new songs to be presented during the upcoming shows in April/March. The tour will be presented by Sonic Seducer, piranha, kulturnews, metal.de, and Reflections Of Darkness.
