As the city of Cologne continues to prepare for the grand finale of the annual Rhenish carnival season, it´s ours to encounter the bright extravaganza with a balancing outburst of dark-hearted goth culture. How could we approach this task any better, if not with a set of great new artists being announced today. Along with the long awaited electro headliner we reveal another two bands, which haven´t appeared at the Amphi Festival yet. One of them another headliner!

Reptile Youth (DK) is to release their second album on March 10th. 'Rivers that run for a sea that is gone' will be the first recording in two years. Meanwhile the band has been on tour through Europe non-stop, playing over 150 shows in more than ten countries. A movement, called Reptile Youth, spreading from Denmark into mainland Europe, it arrived in The Netherlands during the summer of 2013 where Reptile Youth played a show at Welcome to the Village. A show that resulted into a massive beach race into the ocean, when the band jumped offstage and were followed by a large portion of the crowd. The non-swimmers couldn’t believe what they were seeing and were left photographing the scene.

The Bochum-based power metallers of DAWN OF DESTINY release their new album "F.E.A.R." via Phonotraxx/Soulfood music on March 7th. It is already the second release on the record label founded by AXXIS. The title stands for the abbreviation of the words "Forgotten, Enslaved, Admired, Released". The album is based on a concept story, which focuses on the tragic fate of a young girl. The story tells of a girl who sits in a wheelchair by a car accident caused by her own mother and in addition also lives a tragic life.
