Triptykon's second album, Melana Chasmata (rough translation: "black, deep depressions / valleys") will be released on April 14 (Europe) and April 15 (North America), 2014, through Century Media Records/ Prowling Death Records Ltd. Like its predecessor Eparistera Daimones, the album was produced by Triptykon's singer/ guitarist Tom Gabriel Warrior and guitarist V. Santura and recorded and mixed at V. Santura's own Woodshed Studio in southern Germany as well as at Triptykon's rehearsal facilities in Zurich, Switzerland, in 2013 and 2014. Those who have already heard Melana Chasmata have described it as "atmospheric, dark, diabolical, and dramatic", "diverse, epic, and doomy, but on an entirely different level", "a fierce boulder of abhorrence", or "very heavy and yet very aesthetic at the same time".

Black Stone Cherry has announced that their eagerly awaited new album, Magic Mountain, will arrive everywhere May 6. Produced by Joe Barresi, who's worked withQueens of the Stone Age and Soundgarden, among others, Magic Mountain will be heralded by the first single, “Me and Mary Jane,” set to hit radio in mid-February. Black Stone Cherry says of the new album, "Not since before our first album have we felt the freedom and confidence that we felt while writing and recording this album. After touring the world behind three previous albums that we are extremely proud of, we feel this album best captures the live energy, honesty and vibe that encompasses our true musicianship."

For COMBICHRIST to name their album "WE LOVE YOU" it`d be easy to think the band has abandoned their sonic assault for something softer, fluffier and less bloody. Knowing Combichrist, though, that couldn`t be further from the truth. 2014 marks the 10th anniversary of the Austrian Nova Rock festival, an annual event that saw some of the greatest names of the scene performing on its previous nine iterations. For the jubilee tenth editions organizers are preparing definitely a special event, with headliners Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and The Prodigy. The event takes place in the Nickeldorf’s Pannonia Fields II from June 13 to June 15. The line-up for the upcoming edition is not final, organizers say that there will be more acts added with the event getting closer. You can purchase the tickets at the promo prices starting from €126, but be quick – this offer is time limited. Stay tuned for more news in the coming months.

Amoral have revealed the cover artwork and tracklist of their new album "Fallen Leaves & Dead Sparrows", set for release on March 31st. The Finnish release date is February 14th, and the album will then also be available digitally for the rest of the world. The album will be available on CD, double vinyl and digital download. Aki Siltala, the artist behind the covers of previous Amoral albums "Decrowning" and "Reptile Ride" is again responsible for the cover artwork.
