While the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg is already on full tours since two days, the hardest event of this party weekend is going to happen: on the Friday and Saturday, the Metal Dayz will take place in the Markthalle in Hamburg. For two years, the Metal Dayz are a fix component of the Reeperbahn Festival. But sadly, you have to acquire an extra ticket when you want to enjoy this event. But the event is also powered by the Wacken:Open:Air, so you can be really sure, that the name will keep its promise. So if the music on the Reeperbahn Festival is much too soft for you, this is the place where you can enjoy sweat metal sounds during one of the most unique festivals in Europe.
It is not directly at the Reeperbahn like all the other shows belonging to the festival, but not very far away. The Markthalle is with its two rooms well-known and popular in the festival scene in Hamburg. With the big room with a capacity of 1,000 fans and the MarX, which is a bit smaller, it is the perfect location for events like this. Next to concerts of Edguy, Finntroll, Dark Tranquility, Mambo Kurt and many more metal bands, there will be meet & greets in the foyer, workshops for musicians and also be a reading by Wolfgang Hohlbein. The Metal Dayz are in lean on the program of the Reeperbahn Festival with some various points and to find everyone’s taste. Also, it is a nice completion for the tilt of the end of the festival season in 2014.
