Anathema
With the release of their newest album, the masters of transforming emotions of grief, loneliness and melancholy into music, ANATHEMA, have added a new element to their music and that is hope. Like a bright star it shines through cracks on ‘We’re here because we’re here’. A catharsis of sorts has happened, something that was overcome and which helped creating a wonderful album, which has been toured with a few selected concerts already this year and excited those who’ve had the chance to be a part of those.

Trentemöller
The debut artist album of TRENTEMØLLER ‘The Last Resort’, released in 2006, had many music lovers sit up with its subdued and playful electronics. It quite rightly gained favourable critics from every corner and it was just a question of time before Anders Trentemöller would return with the sophomore. But first of all there would be plenty of other projects to pursue since TRENTEMØLLER as we all know is a prolific and busy artist not only with own material; he really has a knack for delivering high-class remix work. Just take the remix of the RÖYKSOPP track ‘What Else Is There’ as an example. 2008 saw him setting out to do a live tour, performing songs off ‘The Last Result’ with a real band and accompanying visuals.

The Black Sheep
The BLACK SHEEP are an all-girl Rock band from Germany and with ‘Not Part of the Deal’ lifted their debut album on renowned Roadrunner Records label in 2009 which kind of made the girls slingshot into the spotlights with their energetic rock tunes, an energy they can just as well bring across live at any time. Everyone who has just seen them once will apparently love to confirm that.

Grinderman, Anna Calvi
Not only is Nick Cave known for releasing time and again exceptional music under the moniker NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS. Just two years ago, he was involved in the making of the soundtrack to ‘The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford’ additionally to releasing the newest BAD SEEDS album ‘Dig, Lazarus, Dig!’. Last year saw the front man releasing his second novel ‘The Death of Bunny Munro’.

Necropolis Festival 2010: Clan Of Xymox, Absolute Body Control, The Eternal Afflict, Santa Hates You, Diskonnekted
At the Maz in famous Belgian city Bruges, the Necropolis Festival will take place in 2010 and the organizers have assembled a veritable line-up that make the festival the place to be on 15th October. First of all, that would be DISKONNEKTED by Jan DeWulf putting on the table his unique brand of danceable electronics. Following him will be SANTA HATES YOU with Peter Spilles & Jinxy making sure you can’t cool down from the experience before. THE ETERNAL AFFLICT is the third ones in league and besides newer material will surely present a potpourri of their back catalogue.
