Seems like in Finland they have a knack to produce rock music that is bound to be successful sooner or later, but while bands like THE RASMUS or the biggest representatives HIM are taking a rather Gothic-influenced direction the band NEGATIVE, founded in 1997 in Tampere, goes a different path with their approach to glam rock. The first album ‘War of Love’ already was certified gold in their native and the second one ‘Sweet & Deceitful’ from 2004 even climbed up to the pole position of the Finnish charts.

Porcupine Tree, Oceansize
PORCUPINE TREE might have started as a mere joke of Steven Wilson initially, but one that became one of the most important projects when it comes to high-class progressive music, and it became the most successful amongst the various projects Wilson is pursuing. ‘In Absentia’ was to become a major breakthrough for the band and by fans it is still regarded as being one of the best PORCUPINE TREE records and long-time it seemed there wouldn’t be an album coming equally high in their perception. But 2007’s ‘Fear of a Blank Planet’ did the trick and even received the full set of points at Rock Hard magazine, as well as other rave critics with magazines.

Zeraphine + Special Guests
With the release of their successful album ‘Blind Camera’, Berlin-based band ZERAPHINE around Sven Friedrich reached the crossroads and had to decide whether they’d go for a deal with a major label or an independent one. The answer to the decision was: Neither the one nor the other. They opted for founding their own label together with long-time producer Tommy Hein and the first release was their album ‘Still’ in 2006. The next album was not released before 2010.
