The Swedish duo Social Ambitions release their debut album entitled "Almost Gone" on October 15. The band that consists of Anders Karlsson (vocals) and Mikael Arborelius (vocals and synthesizers) has been around for some years but all that has been released previously are a couple of singles. “The Malefactor’s Bloody Register”, the sophomore album from Progressive Extreme Metallers VULTURE INDUSTRIES, receives its world-wide release on Monday 3rd October on Dark Essence Records. Recorded at the Conclave & Earshot Studios by Bjørnar Nilsen, who is also the band’s front man, and mastered by Brian Gardner (ISIS, NIN, David Bowie), “The Malefactor’s Bloody Register” is the follow up to the band’s debut album “The Dystopia Journals” which was released in 2007 to much critical acclaim. Guests on the album include Herbrand Larsen (ENSLAVED / ex-AUDREY HORNE) on Hammond organ, Øyvind Rødset (formerly of UGRESS) on saxophone, Audun Berg Selfjord (FUNIN) on cello and Kristin Hunter (ex-Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra) on viola. Nino, a trusted friend of the underground scene, returns in October with a new album of his project Melanculia. He was last heard in early 2009 with another project of him, Aeon Sable. "The Dazed Prophet", his latest album for digital publication, is his return to the download market. As with Aeon Sable, Nino joins forces with Din-Tah Aeon, as both a musician and also a producer. The album, "The Dazed Prophet" presents many elements old and new to the style of Melanculia.
