How do you set a city to music? Two lads from Berlin that go by the name of Formalin have dared the attempt to tackle the gargantuan task of creating a sonic monument for their hometown, aptly naming the resulting sound “Berlin City Industrial.” Their brainchild is raw, aggressive, unpolished, dirty, repulsive, beautiful, glamorous and stylish all at once – just like the world’s most exciting city. Singer and mastermind Tominous and drummer and producer Gabor merge daring and creative sound design with relentlessly harsh sonic works branded with a highly addictive potential: a rough and fascinating club sound that shamelessly provokes where other bands prefer to follow long-faded trends. “Bodyminding” is a purging sonic storm for a shop worn genre, created in the spirit of the early works of Skinny Puppy or Mentallo & The Fixer, but with a sound that has its sights set on the future and that is heavily infused with the spirit of Germany’s capital. The Hard-Electro-pioneers from Hocico were so impressed by the band’s music that they invited Formalin to support them on their European tour without further ado. Berlin – the steel work symphony of a metropolis!- Details

ORCHESTRAL MANOEUVRES IN THE DARK (OMD) is a Synth-Pop group whose founding members are originally from the Wirral Peninsula, England. OMD were originally assimilated in the greater new wave batch of synthesizer-based acts of the later 1970s and early 1980s. The group was founded in 1978 by Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys who remained, and were perceived as, the core members. Adding sidemen Malcolm Holmes and Martin Cooper by the end of 1980, this quartet (with occasional line-up fluctuations) was the live concert line-up until 1989, when Humphreys, Cooper and Holmes all left OMD to found THE LISTENING POOL. - Details

The title song of the upcoming EP is the result of a fertile collaboration with the band’s fellow countrymen NECRO FACILITY – unmistakably COVENANT but with a new flavour. A pulsating, hypnotic and extremely catchy club filler and a melody that, once heard, won’t soon leave your minds! ‘Lightbringer’ comes in a variety of versions, carefully crafted and chosen by the band members Eskil Simonsson, Daniel Myer and Joakim Montelius. Each version carries the distinct, sonic hallmark of its creator. Furthermore, there’s a special radio version by Oscar Holter (NECRO FACILITY).
