If there is one person with ample experience in unleashing sonic monsters unto mankind, it must be Andy LaPlegua, front-berserker and head of Norwegian-U.S.-Electro-Industrial force of nature Combichrist. The band has been spending most of the roughly one and a half years since the release of their highly successful last long play album on tour, also supporting legendary German band Rammstein on their European tour along the way. All the manifold impressions and experiences have certainly left their mark on the new album, which is easily the most versatile release in their career.- Details

Fans had to wait three years before being able to get new material on their hands. TARJA’s new album ‘What Lies Beneath’ will be released on 3rd September, but is heralded by the single ‘I Feel Immortal’, uniting all the strengths she has acquired through the years with passion and hard work. The song you’ll come to love is a swelling, bittersweet power ballad with Tarja’s incredible voice embedded into a texture of strings, complemented by accentuated piano and rocking riffs. With that rousing anthem she’s continuing her story of success and will become a bit more immortal.Find a Making-Of to the album under the link below:

Synthetic Sounds and Danse Macabre Records are pleased to announce Left Spine Down will play their first European tour this December, supporting Mona Mur and En Esch on the Black Christmas Tour. The tour will focus on Germany and the Benelux region with a couple of UK dates as well. Vancouver's cyberpunk outfit Left Spine Down, featuring Jeremy Inkel from Front Line Assembly, have toured North America twice in support of the Revolting Cocks in 2009 and 16Volt and Chemlab in 2010. LSD had a great showing at Kinetik Fetival this May, and their gritty and glitchy sound has been steadily winning fans in clubs across Canada and the US since their 2007 debut Smartbomb. Fan demands for European shows have finally hit critical mass.- Details

The appearance of Norwegian Black Metallers TROLL at the Aronnesrocken Festival in Alta, in the north of Norway, on the 20th August, has stirred up the ire of the local branch of the ultra conservative Christian Democratic Party, who are one of the supporters of the festival, and who have threatened to withdraw their support for the festival as a consequence. Their objections, as is usually the case when it comes to Black Metal bands, centre on the use of Satanic or Anti Christian lyrics, which have been, once again, freely quoted out of context.- DAATH - Announce release date of new album
