Steve Hewitt has been playing the drums on the multimillion selling PLACEBO records and writing songs for the successful band. That’s what everyone knows, but in the meantime he’s given birth to his new “baby” LOVE AMONGST RUIN and for the first time is taking centre stage as their front man. Steven Hewitt is putting in something of everything he’s done in the past: A bit of THE CURE atmosphere, a dash of METALLICA hardcore riffing or a few drops of NEW ORDER – DEPECHE MODE bleeps for instance. Following the single ‘So Sad (Fade)’ follows the self-titled debut album in September, accompanied by an extensive tour.
The new album of the band around front woman Chibi is going to be released in September. The title is very promising and one can be curious about the upcoming new body of work which is to encompass 11 new tracks.
Vesa Ranta, the man behind the drums and all visuals of THE MAN-EATING TREE as well as former drummer of SENTENCED, has created a viral clip for the song “The Longitude Of Sleep”. The clip is entirely based on amazing and atmospheric photos done by Vesa himself, so please dim the lights and have a look: www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmjB-zErQeM

"We are very excited to make this announcement. As you know, we have been very busy working on our new album in the past year. It isn't finished yet, but we're getting there! We currently have the album scheduled for the beginning of 2011 and of course we will be touring soon after the album release! We're returning to the European stages in February and March for the first part of the tour and head straight into the festival season after that.
Act 3 of Raggedy Angry's audio assault on the world will be released in Europe on Danse Macabre Records on October 1st. The new album, How I Learned to Love Our Robot Overlords, is the second Raggedy Angry album to be mixed by industrial mastermind Dave "Rave" Ogilvie (Skinny Puppy, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson) and it finds the Toronto-based electro-rock quintet narrowing in on a sound that started developing on the previous album, Pestilence: synth-heavy, raw and aggressive, yet tight and hooky as Hell.
