Together with all fans of the Twilight book series, publisher Cornelsen aims to write history. With the combined power of the fan community, they attempt to set up a sensational record by creating the world’s longest fan letter. Current record is at 12 kilometers, created by some eager TOKYO HOTEL fans. The goal is a letter, measuring at least 13 kilometers. At the end of the action, the full letter is handed over to author Stephanie Meyer. There are no regulations for the fans, concerning content. Fans for instance can put themselves into the story and write a love letter to Bella, Edward or Jacob, paint their favourite scene from the new movie or write a personal message to the author.

Things that take such a long time need to be good, doesn't it? At least that is the opinion of the band and they have after all decided to put the best 10 songs onto a CD and to make it available to the public via Strobelight Records. It's only a few weeks from now and simultaneously the Strobelight Records Boys have given in to their fetishism and manufactured a Vinyl Single version with 2 songs on it in a strictly limited number. Luckily the number of copies is greater than 3 and 497 other selectors and fetishists have the possibility to order it directly from strobelight- records.com. In the second part of August a CD-single with 3 songs will be played in the clubs. The other 7 songs including the 3 singles can be bought as a physical CD including a cover, artwork, booklet and so on or be downloaded off the Internet.

CARPATHIAN FOREST’s Daniel Vrangsinn will take his own band live for the first time on Friday 3rd September, when VRANGSINN is scheduled to play the Tribute, in Sandnes, Norway. Anyone expecting to hear Black Metal in the vein of CARPATHIAN FOREST, or indeed of any of the myriad of other Black Metal bands that bear Vrangsinn’s inimitable stamp, be it as musician or on the production side, including bands such as NATTEFROST, SECHT, DEATHCULT, will be in for a surprise, because this band plays what Vrangsinn himself describes as “psychopop idiosyncrasy with an ounce of psychedelic doom rock”. The live line up will be fronted by Vrangsinn on vocals, while Benjamin Waldejer and Marius Grøtte of PHAT will handle guitar and drums respectively, and DEATHFARE’s Robert Technodrome will be on bass. Full details of the event can be found at http://www.vrangsinn.net/live.htm
